Easily one of the nicest, cleanest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academies I have ever been to. This is a really beautiful school. I have the luxury of being able to travel all over the country to teach and train Jiu-Jitsu, and I’m telling you, this place is excellent.

On top of that, the instructor (Brian “Barncat” Debes) is one of the most genuine and humble gentlemen I know, as well as a very skilled practitioner and teacher.

If you live in this area, I really feel that you’d be doing yourself a disservice by not stopping in and at least trying a couple of classes.

Brian Debes is an excellent coach who possesses a talent for explaining complex information in a way that is simple and accessible to students regardless of their skill levels. As an instructor, Debes takes pride in the development of his students and is supportive of their personal goals. The training environment is kept very sanitary and the atmosphere is welcoming to practitioners of all skill levels. I would easily recommend this gym for both children and adults.

This is one of the nicest facilities I have ever been to. Very clean with a HUGE mat space. And the instructor, Brian Debes, is an excellent teacher. I highly recommend this school if you are in the Beaumont area. I wouldn’t want to train anywhere else.

Warm and inviting atmosphere, Brian is VERY knowledgeable and willing to help out any beginners pick up and join in the classes routines. I wouldn’t dare train anywhere else, classes also have great students who are skilled and willing to pass on any tips or pointers to the less experienced.
Like myself 🙂

10th Planet Beaumont is a beautiful and clean facility. The staff of instructors are very knowledgeable and extremely talented in presenting their instruction. Brian Debes is not only a very intelligent instructor but an amazing competitor. You will not be disappointed when your and your family visit this school.

I have been attending this gym for nearly 2 years now (my first 6 months were at the hotbox on campus at Lamar University and now one and a half years at the new facility) and have loved every second. I had absolutely no knowledge of jiu-jitsu before I started, but I was invited to try it out my first semester of college and I haven’t looked back.

Not only have I improved my physical health, I have also improved my mental health by having an outlet for stress and anxiety and frustration. You can truly tell that Brian, the jiu jitsu instructor, and Jeff, the kickboxing/MMA instructor, love what they do and are extremely knowledgeable of the sport. The environment is fantastic as well, and everyone just has a great time together.

I highly recommend coming to try it out (especially with that First Month Free offer).

This gym is easily the best place to train no gi jiu jitsu in the southeast Texas area. Not to mention the kickboxing and mma programs are excellent as well. It’s a wonderful facility with tons of mat space.

The instructors are extremely knowledgable and super supportive and helpful! Also, the mats are cleaned every day after practice which is awesome! The atmosphere is super friendly and all the students help each other get better at this combative martial art.

The program is absolutely the best option to help you lose weight, because it’s so fun you don’t even realize you’ve exercised so much. Also you’re learning a valuable and dominant form of self defense that can help you survive and function during any possible form of violence in the streets. (Hopefully you won’t have to use it; but it’s better to know how to handle yourself and not need it than the other way around.)

As I mentioned before, everyone is super supportive and helpful of each other. And if you’re nervous about coming in and getting “roughed up”; that is absolutely not the case. Beginners start slowly and everyone is mindful of new students. Also, the instructors never put a “spotlight” on students which can make some people self-conscious. Instead, the instructors show everything in detail and answer questions. Then you break into groups of 2 and practice the move.

That being said, this is an excellent sport to get involved with a friend!

The classes are great and everyone is friendly. They teach Brazilian jiu-jitsu, competition and fitness kickboxing, MMA, and Judo. Kids 8-12 are also welcome to train at the facilities. If you’re not sure you want to join the gym, you can get one (1) FREE private lesson. The students are all happy to help each other learn. Their are Law Enforcement training classes for any correctional officers that want to hone their defense as well as restraining and cuffing techniques. I encourage everyone to train here.
